Batting first, the 1st XI posted 214 for 6 in their 45 overs. Joe Sibbons led from the front with a superb century (101 off 124 balls, 14 fours and 1 six), his second big score in as many weeks. He was supported by Dean Waller (28) and Sean Elliott (20), who provided useful partnerships around him.

This was a tough day for the 2nd XI. Electing to field, they conceded 251 all out in 41.1 overs, largely due to a brilliant 116 from Purav Yogi. Southend bowlers did take wickets – Liam Nugent (8.1-1-34-3) and Sugadhev Sriramajegan (6-0-54-2) among the pick – but runs flowed too freely.
In reply, Southend never got going and collapsed to 81 all out in 24 overs. Only Sugadhev Sriramajegan (41 off 47, 7 fours) showed real fight with the bat. Wickets tumbled regularly against disciplined bowling, as Chelmsford wrapped up a heavy defeat for Southend.

The 3rd XI put in a strong all-round performance. Bowling first, they dismissed Basildon & Pitsea for 191 in 38.2 overs. It was a collective bowling effort, with Shaun Grant (3/30), Suhail Ejaz (2/28), and Nigel Green (2/27) leading the way, while debutant Shri Shah (1/25) also impressed.
Chasing, Shaun Grant starred again with the bat, hitting an unbeaten 100 off 96 balls (20 fours) to guide his side home. Mark Howard (43) and Suhail Haji (20) chipped in valuable runs as Southend reached 195/4 in 36.2 overs, sealing a well-deserved 6-wicket win.

The 4th XI enjoyed an excellent victory built on a dominant batting display. Batting first, they posted 252/8 in 40 overs, thanks to a brilliant 111 from Jacob Guyler, supported by John Horne (23), Jabedur Rahman (22), and John Mitchell (19). The innings had depth and momentum throughout.
With the ball, Southend’s attack worked superbly as a unit to bowl out the visitors for 166 in 40 overs. Nancy Mitchell (2/27), Lee Watkinson (2/28), and John Horne (2/32) were the main wicket-takers, while Toby Mitchell and Matthew Guyler also claimed a wicket each. It was a commanding win showing balance in batting and bowling.
