Even though the nights are long and the days are wet there is plenty going on at the club. Here is the latest news

League Captains
Due to league requirements our Saturday adult captains were elected in Octobers EGM

1st XI Captain - Sean Elliott
2nd XI Captain - Mark Howard
3rd XI Captain - Michael Sweeney
4th XI Captain - David Enderby

Winter Nets
Winter nets are in the process of being booked for both Youth and Adult sections, more information to come out shortly.

Toyota Prize Draw
Many of the club members took part in the Toyota Prize draw last season. Whilst none of our members will be driving a free Toyota next season the club did receive nearly £300 in donations through your participation; so thank you to everyone who took part. These funds have been used to purchase a lightweight bowling machine for Youth nets.

CASC Membership
The Club has now achieved a Community Amateur Sports Club accreditation from the HMRC. The primary benefits of this are that we are now officially a legal entity, which will assist with grant applications. Additionally our sponsors can now register their donations as Gift Aid, meaning that they receive additional Tax benefits for their sponsorship.

Pitches 2026
Due to the continual efforts of the Committee we have, with the assistance of Essex County Cricket Club and Southend Council, secured funding for much needed winter works to be carried out on both pitches at Southchurch Park.
